GLOBAL-WATCH SUMMER MISSION IN IVORY COAST

The president and founder of Global-Watch, Marie-Claude Pelletier, and the director of scientific monitoring and professor France St-Hilaire, Director of Équipe sur les organisations en santé (ÉOS) at the Université de Sherbrooke, undertook a summer mission in Ivory Coast to give presentations on workplace health and well-being during an international event, to meet workplace health and well-being representatives from Orange and to discuss possible collaborations between Ivory Coast and Québec on issues related to workplace health and well-being. Here is a summary of their activities during this mission.

 

JULY 18

Marie-Claude Pelletier and Prof. France St-Hilaire presented on the idea of workplace health and well-being and management practices that promote it to 250 human resource directors, health practitioners and occupational physicians during the major international event organized by Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance de la Côte d’Ivoire and Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire (CGECI), on the theme of managing workplace health and well-being.

 

JULY 19

Marie-Claude Pelletier and Prof. France St-Hilaire met with 25 human resource directors, health practitioners, and occupational physicians from francophone branches of Orange for knowledge transfer and discussion on good practices that promote workplace health and well-being.

JULY 20

In meeting with Siasia Morel, Director of the Bureau du Québec à Abidjan (BQA), and with Sahindou Bamba, Attaché for economic development of BQA, Marie-Claude Pelletier and France St-Hilaire had some good discussions that could lead to a possible collaboration on workplace health and well-being issues.
